Pyramid Solitaire brings an exciting twist to the classic Solitaire. In this game, you will pair cards together to get a sum of value 13 to remove them from the tableau. The goal is to remove all the cards out of your deck (from the pyramid and the leftover pile) by this process.

Pyramid Solitaire Game Rules

When a new game begins, 28 cards from a 52-card deck will be dealt out faced-up in an overlapping pyramid shape, starting from one and ending with 7 cards in a row. The remaining 24 cards will be the stock pile below, and the first 3 cards will be flipped over and can be used with the cards in the tableau.
Unlike most other Solitaire variations, you are not building up a foundation pile here. Instead, the objective is to remove all the cards by pairing them up into a sum value of 13 and removing them. For example, you can add a 6 and a 7 to get a 13 and remove them from the tableau. J cards are counted as 11, Queens are 12, and Kings are 13. This means Kings can be removed on their own without needing a pair. You can use cards drawn from the stock pile in conjunction with the cards on the tableau to get a sum of 13 and remove them as well. The game is won when you manage to remove all cards from the tableau and the stock pile below.
The Stock Pile, which is at the bottom left side, is where you can draw new cards to be played. These cards are useful for when you are unable to pair cards to a sum value of 13 from the tableau alone. Remember that you will need to clear these cards as well to beat the game.

• The most important step before doing anything is to check out the tableau first and confirm the pair of cards that you can create a sum value of 13 with. This is to ensure you don't miss out on any obvious moves from the start and helps you plan your next moves.
• Remove the Kings first. Since they can be removed as a single card, these are the easiest ones to get rid of and they can’t be paired with any other card anyways.
• Prioritize removing cards that will free up other cards in the tableau. On the same note, you should also try to evenly expose the cards in the pyramid to give you more choices as you progress further in the game.
• The cards in the stock pile can be turned over once you have cycled through them all. So, don’t hesitate to cycle through them and get the cards you need, as there won’t be any card that is inaccessible from the stock pile.
• Use the Undo feature. If you are determined to get a win, there is no shame in undo-ing a mistake you made.
